"I ordered three al pastor tacos and a watermelon agua fresca, and everything was delicious. The tacos were packed with flavor — super juicy, with little bits of pineapple mixed in that gave them the perfect sweetness. The green salsa had a nice limey kick that complemented the tacos really well. The watermelon agua fresca was refreshing and balanced out the richness and spice of the meal perfectly. I didn’t find the tacos spicy at all, but I’m Mexican, so spice tolerance may vary. Overall, this is a great spot with a nice outdoor patio, friendly staff, and really flavorful food. Definitely some of the best al pastor tacos I’ve had in a long time."

"La Mission has excellent Mexican food with big portions. You would never know from looking at it because it looks like a fast food Mexican restaurant that has been renovated, in fact, long ago, it used to be other places. I wish they had more seating inside, there’s only enough room for maybe 10 people, and outside is usually too cold in Berkeley to go and hang out. But there is a lot of outdoor seating if the weather is decent. While everything I’ve had here has been good, the Baja fish taco might be my favorite. The posole is also good, but the portion is so huge. I felt like it was enough for five people. I wish the inside of the restaurant or a little bit warmer, but on the other hand, it stays open later than almost any place else around that has decent food."

"This place is conveniently located right on University Avenue. The staff is extremely friendly and they offer many homemade items including homemade corn bread, etc. I ordered the steak nachos and they were perfect. Wait times were non existent and the service was very quick and professional. Will be back!"

"Delicious tasting Mexican food with a lovely patio in the back. Prices are a little more expensive than other Mexican places but they do have quality food. Recommend going to try their breakfast menu!"

"This is a MEXICAN restaurant. The very kindest and nicest service. The food is just way off the high end of the charts. The atmosphere... Fantastic. 6/5. Across the board. They have a chocolate horchata that is the best I have ever had."

"Drove by this place for years but never came in until this week. We loved our experience here: I had tacos 2 kinds and my husband had a burrito. Friendly staff took our order and we sat outside on picnic benches in the sun in a pretty setting. We will be back-there is more to try!"

"Great food and will definitely come back. In particular their chips and guacamole are delicious, crispy tacos and plantains are good and their horchata is delicious. I agree they have they have the best mole but they skimp on adding the sauce to their burritos and flautas. Both were a little dry and there was so little mole sauce I couldn’t fully appreciate its taste. Plus it would have made all the difference in enjoying both these dishes. I asked for more mole for the flautas."
